The Level 1 and 2 Programmes for the MAMIE Foundation Bamboo and Wood workshops follow these training objectives:

Level 1

In Module 1, participants delve into orientation and constructing wood storage sheds, establishing a solid foundation for their woodworking journey. Module 2 focuses on designing home furnishings, emphasizing the utilization of joints to craft tables, chairs, and stools. Module 3 challenges participants to construct a roofed structure using bamboo and wood, honing their building skills. Finally, Module 4 introduces the design and construction of a bamboo bed with specialized joints, showcasing the versatility of sustainable materials in furniture making.

Level 2

Transitioning to Level 2, Module 1 tasks participants with designing a prototype of a sustainable forest materials-based living apartment for rural areas. Module 2 involves the practical application of wood and bamboo in building this prototype. Module 3 explores various bamboo roofing designs, emphasizing both aesthetics and functionality. Module 4 delves into alternative roofing, plumbing, and electrification methods, ensuring the project's sustainability. Module 5 focuses on wooden staircase designs, optimizing space and safety. In Module 6, participants complete their projects, learning inventory management, tool maintenance, and storage. Module 7 concludes with an assessment process for marketable products, culminating in a closing ceremony and certificate presentation, celebrating participants' accomplishments.
